Baptism

Baptism is the sacrament by which a person is adopted as a child of God; made a member of Christ's Body, the Church; and a member of the kingdom of God. To arrange for the Sacrament of Baptism for your child or yourself, contact Father Nick.

Confirmation

Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. Any person aged 16 or older may choose to prepare for Confirmation. This includes not only young people but also adults who haven't been confirmed in the Episcopal church.

Confirmation classes are held every year at Calvary. The youth class (for students aged 16 and older) starts in September and generally meets from 11 a.m. to noon one Sunday a month.

A separate class for adults seeking confirmation or reception in the Episcopal church is held in the evenings and generally starts during winter.

A regional confirmation service takes place every spring at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Savior in Faribault.

If you wish to be confirmed or be received into the Episcopal Church, contact the church office 507-282-9429 to enroll in the class.
