Small Group Ministry
"Small groups" range in size from six to 12 people, meet once or twice a month, and follow a very general format of study, prayer, and fellowship. They provide a spiritual community within our larger parish community, nurturing participants and helping them grow in knowledge and faith.
At Calvary, small groups vary in their focus.
- The Benedictine Way is dedicated to discovering balance in life through prayer, study of the Gospels and St. Benedict's Rule, and community gathering. Meets monthly.
- Frontiers of Faith discusses modern theology and ethics from a critical point of view. Meets twice monthly.
- The Wednesday Morning Small Group consists of mothers seeking support and guidance in their busy lives as well as spiritual growth.
- Centering Prayer Group is helf on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Each session begins with a practice of centering prayer for 20 minutes followed by an enrichment time of an hour.
