DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again! Musician Bob Schlief will be back this year to entertain us\, and Charlie’s Eatery will again be catering boxed lunches with ham\, turkey\, or veggie sandwiches\, potato salad\, chips\, a pickle\, and a cookie. If you choose the gluten free option\, your choice of ham or turkey will be wrapped in lettuce and the box will include fresh fruit\, a wrapped pickle\, and a gluten free cookie. We will have a jar out to collect free will donations. \nPlease use this link to let us know you are coming! You can also sign up on the sheet in Brackenridge or call\, text\, or email Cindy Heins at (507) 993-5824 or heins.cynthia@gmail.com. We will accept reservations through September 3rd.  \nWe will be in the courtyard (in case of rain we will be inside) following the 10:30 service. Please bring a lawn chair for yourself and one to share if you can. \n— \nAnd now announcing\, in conjunction with the Parish Picnic: \nThe Second Annual Great Calvary Pie Bake-Off\nCome one\, come all armed with your homemade pies! On September 10\, we are going to find out who is the greatest 2023 Pie Baker at Calvary. (Don’t worry! Our 2022 winner\, Lee Gilmore\, has graciously agreed to bow out this year so that the rest of us have a chance.) To enter\, just have your pie at Calvary by 10:00 am. Please put your name on the bottom of your pie plate. \nOur panel of guest judges will taste the pies and choose a winner. We will then serve the pies at the picnic. \nThe rules are simple. Your pie must be homemade by you. There is no age limit for our bakers! We welcome all pies!

SUMMARY:Happy Hour: International Buy a Priest a Beer Day
DESCRIPTION:Calvary’s Fellowship Core cannot resist hosting another Happy Hour to celebrate International Buy a Priest a Beer Day! It only rolls around once a year\, and we’re thrilled to have another reason to get together with our fellow parishioners. The first person to guess what RATTRB means will get a free drink! \nWe will meet at Beetle’s Bar and Grill\, located two blocks west of Saint Marys Hospital on 2nd Street SW. This is informal. Come when you can; stay for as long as you like. Popcorn and water are free. You can purchase other food and drinks. Mark your calendars now and join other Calvary parishioners in toasting our clergy!! We will be collecting donations to Project Legacy’s food pantry. The young people at Project Legacy list worries about rent money and food as two of their top stressors. You can give cash or a check made payable to Project Legacy. Hope to see you all there.
