DESCRIPTION:Calvary Scones\, Stones\, and Halloween Bones\,\naka Eat\, Compete\, and Dress Up\nSunday\, October 26\, from 9:00 to 10:30 in the courtyard \nFall is in the air\, and it is time for Calvary’s annual Stone Throw. Legend has it that ownership of Calvary’s corner lot rested on a bet made by George Head\, Rochester’s first mayor\, and Benjamin Whipple\, Minnesota’s first Episcopal Bishop: whoever threw a massive stone farthest would become the owner. Every year\, we celebrate Bishop Whipple’s historic win with a recreation of the event. Come and see if you are the parishioner who will win the stone throw this year. Many thanks to the Mueller family for organizing the Stone Throw. \nAnd that’s not all! We are excited to announce that we will be serving homemade scones (just like the ones served to Mayor Head and Bishop Whipple) with coffee\, cider\, and hot chocolate. It is the Sunday before Halloween\, so we encourage you to wear your Halloween costume to eat\, compete\, and of course\, attend the 8:30 or 10:30 service.

SUMMARY:Oasis Garden Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, October 26\, from 3 to 4 pm\, Calvary youth and adults are invited to help put the Oasis Garden to bed for the winter. We’ll pull up the flowers and take them to the city compost. After the garden work\, middle and high schoolers are invited to watch a movie and enjoy pizza at the Rialto movie house in Joan Rabe’s backyard. Wear gardening gloves and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Pickup trucks and wheelbarrows are also welcome.\n\nContact Joan if you have questions (507-269-3162\, joan.rabe@icloud.com).
