Schultz on Sunday\, June 5\, at the 11 o’clock hour in Brackenridge Hall. \nPaul\, who has been serving as our Transitional Deacon\, will be ordained to the priesthood on June 18 at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Minneapolis. John came out of retirement to serve as our Interim Director of Music and will be leaving us on June 5th. \n\nWe will miss both Paul and John and thank them for their dedication and service. The theme for this party on Pentecost Sunday is RED – red food\, red drinks\, and red decorations. So\, wear red\, if you can!

DESCRIPTION:God willing and the people consenting\, our beloved brother\, the Rev. Paul Ehling\, will be ordained to the priesthood in The Episcopal Church by Bishop Craig Loya on Saturday\, June 18 at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Minneapolis. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and all are invited to attend. The service will also be live-streamed. \nPaul has been a member of Calvary for decades and has served the parish faithfully for almost a year as a transitional deacon; Calvary will be giving Paul a special gift on this holy and joyful occasion. The group has played jazz in the region for decades\, recorded an album of original music called “Trombots and Mermaids\,” and participated in the Twin Cities Jazz Festival. SUMMARY:Picnic Church
DESCRIPTION:On the last Sunday of each month beginning in June\, Picnic Church! 4:30 p.m. on June 26\, July 31\, and August 28. We will gather in the Oasis Garden for a very simple\, come as you are\, service of Holy Eucharist. Readers will be invited out of the gathered congregation and participation from all ages will be encouraged. Bring a lawn chair to break bread together in the Eucharist\, and then stay to break bread together in a picnic! We will pull out our charcoal grill and have charcoal\, etc.\, available for whatever you bring\, and have water and lemonade there as well. Our Oasis Garden truly is a place of beauty and a perfect place for a summer picnic and games (we have games!) on a Sunday evening.  \nAll are welcome!
