DESCRIPTION:Hip Hip Hooray! We’re having another happy hour on Friday\, August 9\, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm! Looking for a reason to socialize with your fellow Calvary parishioners? You’ve found it! \nThis is a “come as you are” gathering. No need to dress up. Just finished gardening and no time to change? Come as you are! Just woke up from a much-needed afternoon nap? Come as you are! Harried after an afternoon at the pool with the kids or grandkids? Come as you are (although you may want to put on a cover-up and sandals 😂 ). \nWe will meet at Beetle’s Bar and Grill\, located three blocks west of Saint Marys. The first person to arrive and tell us what WLBAWLCP wins a free drink. Popcorn and water are on the house. Other food and drink are available to purchase.

DESCRIPTION:Bishop Loya will be making his official visit to Calvary on Holy Cross Sunday\, September 15. DESCRIPTION:School is starting in late August and Calvary will be entering a new and exciting program year.  At both the 8:30 am and 10:30 am services on Sunday\, August 25\, we will be blessing our children as they head back to school\, and blessing their backpacks as symbols of their work.  We will also be blessing the briefcases and all other symbols of the work of adults – cell phones\, iPads\, knitting needles\, gardening\, carpentry\, and cooking tools – please bring any symbols of your work\, and your children and their backpacks\, to church on August 25 so that we can send one another out into the world to do the work God has given us to do with the blessing of this beloved community\, and the assurance of God’s presence\, for the months ahead.
