DESCRIPTION:All Episcopalians living and worshipping in the southern part of the diocese are invited and encouraged to attend our fall mission area gathering on zoom – Tuesday\, October 3\, at 6:00 pm. Register here. \nTwice-annual mission area gatherings offer us the opportunity to meet our fellow Episcopalians living in our area of the diocese. Mission area gatherings strengthen our familial ties and offer us the opportunity to celebrate the diverse church ecology we are blessed with here in Minnesota. Fall mission area gatherings focus on reviewing the diocesan budget that will be voted on at diocesan Convention. If you’d like to be a part of how we\, as a community\, faithfully discern the best way to steward the resources God has given us\, this is your opportunity to see the budget\, ask questions\, and offer feedback. Clergy and lay delegates are particularly invited and encouraged to attend. \nYou can find the draft proposed 2024 budget that will be presented at convention here for your review. \nWe will also be electing new members to serve the Southwest Mission Area\, and to fill a vacancy for the Southeast team on ECMN Council. SUMMARY:ECMN’s Racial Justice and Healing Commission Inaugural Retreat
DESCRIPTION:ECMN’s Racial Justice and Healing Commission will host an inaugural retreat for racial healing and justice-making September 29-30 at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church\, 60 N Kent St\, St Paul\, MN 55102. \nThis in person retreat utilizes our Eucharistic liturgy as a frame for understanding ministries of racial justice and healing as an integral element of our ongoing spiritual formation and discipleship. Participation in the retreat will also fulfill canonical requirements for anti-racism training. \nThe retreat begins with dinner on Friday and programming until 9pm. We will re-gather at St. John’s Saturday morning at 8:15am for coffee and breakfast and conclude our time at 5:30pm (lunch will be included). Please do not register if you cannot be present for the entirety of the retreat. \nThe cost for participation is $50. If financial assistance is needed\, please contact Kelsey Schuster at kelsey.s@episcopalmn.org. \nA hotel room block will be available and will be communicated to those registered in the coming weeks.
