SUMMARY:Lay Weeders
DESCRIPTION:We gather to tend Calvary’s Oasis garden (watering\, weeding\, trimming\, etc) each Friday morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 am through August. All are welcome to join in – no reservation or gardening skill required. Come once in a while or come every week\, just as you like. DESCRIPTION:As the program year comes to an end\, Motet Choir rehearsals pause for the summer. Summer choir begins on Sunday\, June 14. We will meet at 9:45 am on Sunday mornings in the choir room and put together an easy anthem for service. SUMMARY:Sunday Worship: Holy Eucharist\, Rite II
DESCRIPTION:This is one of two services each Sunday: at 10:30 am\, Calvary offers a Rite II service of Holy Eucharist. Rite II uses more contemporary language and includes congregational and choral singing. The Motet Choir will lead our music. \nThe nursery\, staffed by two adults each Sunday who are Safeguarding God’s Children trained\, will be available 8:30 am – 11:15 am.

SUMMARY:Security Town Hall and Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Calvary is in the process of ramping up our safety and security measures to keep parishioners\, visitors\, and staff safe. We will host the Rev. Tim Kingsley of Kingswood Security on August 8 and 9. He will speak on Saturday morning to really get us thinking about how we make Calvary welcoming\, safe\, and secure. Tim will also be our guest preacher on Sunday\, August 9. Tim is an engaging speaker with a wealth of information. Don’t miss this informative and transformational event! Sign up in Brackenridge or use this link for food planning. \nAbout Tim Kingsley: The Rev. Timothy M. Kingsley serves as the director of logistics and global risk for the General Convention of The Episcopal Church\, where he oversees the planning and coordination of logistics\, operations\, organizational resilience\, risk management\, and emergency preparedness for the church’s governing body and major events and is a resource to the bishops and executives of The Episcopal Church. Tim is an Episcopal priest with more than 35 years of leadership experience in public safety\, emergency management\, security operations\, and pastoral ministry. A United States Navy veteran\, he has served in executive public safety positions\, including chief of public safety at Teachers College\, Columbia University\, and has advised faith communities\, educational institutions\, and nonprofit organizations on organizational resilience\, behavioral threat assessment and management\, crisis response\, and all-hazards emergency planning. Before joining the General Convention Office\, Tim served as provost of Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Minneapolis\, Minnesota\, where he provided strategic leadership for worship\, operations\, pastoral care\, and community engagement. Throughout his ministry\, he has sought to integrate faithful leadership with practical preparedness\, helping organizations create environments that are both welcoming and resilient. Tim continues to collaborate with local\, state\, and federal public safety partners and serves as a law enforcement chaplain. His work focuses on strengthening the church’s operational readiness while supporting a culture of hospitality\, safety\, and faithful service. Outside of his professional responsibilities\, Tim enjoys spending time with his family\, mentoring leaders\, traveling\, and exploring the intersection of faith\, leadership\, and organizational resilience.

DESCRIPTION:The middle and high schoolers at Calvary will go for a trail ride at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch on August 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm.
