Join us on Sunday, February 22, at 4 pm for a Lenten Evensong featuring the works of Thomas Weelkes (1576-1623) and Orlando Gibbons (1583-1625). Weelkes was organist at Winchester College and Chichester Cathedral, and Gibbons was a keyboardist for the Chapel Royal and organist at Westminster Abbey. The Motet Choir will perform settings of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis from Thomas Weelkes’s “Short Service” and the anthem “Drop, Drop Slow Tears” by Orlando Gibbons.
