Special Offering: Immigrant Resources

Outreach at Calvary is a vital ministry that seeks ways for our faith community to meet the needs of others in our community and beyond. During the month of June, our special collections envelopes will be used to support the outreach fund. Our focus this year is on immigrant resources.

All funds you give will be donated to Episcopal Migration Ministries. Then, using our pre-established outreach funds, we will match your giving and donate to two local organizations that support immigrant families in the Rochester area: IMAA (Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association) and COPAL (Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina). We will match funds up to $1000.

Please contact Colleen Spillers with any questions about June giving and Calvary outreach opportunities.

Use this link to donate, making sure to select “Outreach.”

Calvary Episcopal Church Supports The Landing

The Landing MN is a day center here in Rochester supporting local persons who are facing homelessness. We at Calvary are honored to support the work that they do. We have a collection bin in Brackenridge Hall and accept the following items. If you are interesting in learning more about what they do, volunteering, or donating funds to help them, please check out their website.

Join the Outreach Team at Calvary

At Calvary we are looking to refresh our outreach team. What does outreach look like to you? What areas of service speak to your heart? Does working alongside others in the areas social, racial, environmental, civic, or economic justice feel like a calling to you?

We are looking for team members, project volunteers, and idea generators! If you are interested in being part of outreach at Calvary in any part, please fill out this form.

GO! Get Engaged!

God in our neighborhood. As Episcopalians, we are called to Missio Dei — the “sending of God” to help those in need — as well as to working for peace and justice, and sharing God’s love in the world.

Our unique location in downtown Rochester surrounded by the Mayo Clinic gives us the opportunity to minister not only to our parish family but also to visitors to our community. Calvary’s Outreach Core is working deliberately and purposefully to fulfill our long-term mission to serving God’s people in our neighborhood.

Be on the lookout for Outreach at Calvary opportunities which are posted on Calvary’s Facebook page, in the weekly service bulletin, The Visitor, on the Outreach bulletin board, in announcements and RIGHT HERE on our web page!

How do we reach beyond our walls?
Just as Jesus sent the disciples two by two, we also want to go out into our neighborhood two by two, or family by family, and engage with the work that awaits us. To support our neighborhood and those who live in it, we are engaged with these projects listed below.
