Calvary Cares
At Calvary we continue our support of two local food resources in Rochester. Please bring your donations to Brackenridge Hall any Sunday and place them on the food collection cart. This is an ongoing ministry. Volunteers will sort the food and deliver it each week. If you are interested in helping with this, please see the sign-up sheet in Brackenridge or contact Colleen Spillers at colleenspillers@gmail.com.
125 Live Food Pantry
This food pantry is open to the public. They suggest the following donations: canned fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, canned fish or meat, canned or packaged soups, rice, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, mayonnaise, crackers, baking supplies (flour, sugar, oil, nuts), and baking mixes.
125 requests that we deliver food to them using paper bags, not plastic bags.
Gage Elementary School Community Resource Room
This room supports the families at Gage Elementary and is open to the community during school hours as well. Currently, the greatest needs are canned fruit, canned soup, and cereal. Regular-sized cans as well as individual serving sizes are appreciated.
NEW: Gage Elementary School Community Resource Room is hosting a Winter Gear Drive. They are collecting snow pants, hoodies, boots, and gloves for school-aged children. New or gently used. Please see the flyer for details. You can bring items to Calvary and place them in the Gage bin in Brackenridge Hall. If you would like to donate funds toward this need, please make donations to Calvary Outreach and note “Gage Winter Gear Drive” on your donation.
Advent Season Giving Tree
Coming soon: our Advent Season Giving Tree will be up shortly after Thanksgiving. Watch the Visitor and Sunday Bulletins for more details. We will be sponsoring a family from Family Promise, and special needs of Project Legacy, The Landing, and Gage Elementary this year. Please see Colleen Spillers if you have any questions.
