Join us on Sunday, November 23, at 4 pm for a Thanksgiving Evensong featuring the works of Thomas Tallis. Tallis, perhaps the most prolific composer of the English Renaissance, served in the Chapel Royal of King Henry VIII, King Edward VI, Queen Mary, and Queen Elizabeth. He died on November 23, 1585. The Motet Choir will perform settings of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis from Tallis’ “Dorian Service” and his anthem, “All People that on Earth do Dwell.”
