Beloved in Christ:

The 166th Annual Meeting of Calvary Episcopal Church will begin at 10:30 am this coming Sunday, January 25. We will meet for both worship and the business meeting in Brackenridge Hall. The business portion of the meeting – thanking outgoing vestry members, celebrating leaders who have retired from their volunteer positions this past year, thanking our staff, and discussing our treasure – the budget for 2026, will be encased in the worship of God, which is the central reason we meet as a community.
As usual, we will have a comprehensive booklet filled with reports from activity in 2025 and a detailed breakdown of our 2025 finances and the 2026 budget, which was approved by the vestry on January 18. The booklet will be sent as a PDF to everyone on our email list by the end of this week, and will also be available in a printed format for those who attend in person. The worship and the meeting will be livestreamed.
As you probably know, the weather is going to be very cold from Friday to Sunday, so attend in the best way for you and your family. Michelle McKean will have activities for the children during the meeting, and the nursery will be open as usual. The central theme of our annual meetings is always joy and gratitude. There is so much to celebrate at Calvary. We are generously blessed by God, and this congregation is full of love and vision for the future. Let us gather to worship, learn, and celebrate.
Thanks be to God.
