Beloved in Christ:

Over the past year and some change, the vestry of Calvary has been holding Saturday half-day retreats outside of their regularly scheduled monthly meetings to work in community, listening to the Holy Spirit and to one another, praying, breaking bread together, and visioning about the priorities and needs of Calvary and as the Mayo Clinic continues in their massive building project around us, wondering what God is calling us to do in response to our changing neighborhood, and in caring for our beloved faith community.

It’s time for the vestry to share some of the work that they have been doing and to receive your questions and feedback. It’s also time to enlarge the work to include others. I hope that you will attend this Sunday’s vestry forum at 9:30 am in Crawford Hall. You will hear about the three priorities that the team has been working very hard on, hear about a new facilities team that has been commissioned to do vision work for our building and grounds, inside and outside, and have some time for questions and comments. A side bonus will be the opportunity to identify exactly who is on the vestry – you may not know everyone, especially if you are a newer member of Calvary, and some time to offer your thanks for their hard work.

I appreciate this vestry, who in their time together have learned to love one another as Christ loved us. I give thanks to God for each of them and for their common work.

In peace and daily gratitude for each of you,

Beth+
