Calvary Faith Formation has an exciting outreach opportunity coming up! In our Formation classes, we have been learning about the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness and how God provided them with manna. When contemplating how to tie this lesson into contemporary life, we decided to launch our Manna Bag service project!

Manna bags are large gallon ziplock bags filled with food and hygiene essentials. By keeping these in your car, you can easily share a thoughtfully prepared bag with someone in need. On October 25th, 2026 the kids will gather downstairs to assemble fifty manna bags. Each child will take one bag home, a few will be left at church to distribute to unhoused individuals who visit Calvary, and the rest will go to any parishioners who would like to keep one in their car to pass to a person in need. To support this project, we created a sign-up sheet for items to include in the bags. Please click the following link to sign up for an item to donate.
